The principle aim of this course is to develop students' research and analytical skills required for undertaking the master thesis.
The course offers guidance and instruction on how to develop a research proposal and should be taken and completed prior to writing the master thesis. The course topics include: research purpose, elements of research (theory, data, methods), analytical thinking, and ethics in research. The course helps you in developing a relevant research question that could contribute to marketing theory.
The course is compulsory for all Master students in Marketing, including: 1) all marketing track students in Business and Management, and 2) all students in the Swedish programme who have began their master studies after 1.8.2020. This course has to be passed before you can take the Research Seminar course 23170 or Seminarium 23160 in the autumn 2022 or spring 2023.
This course can only be taken by students in Helsinki with Marketing as their major subject.
