Climate change is a threat to civilisation. We need an energy transition, renewable energy sources and new business models to cope with the threat. In practice, our future depends on the efficiency of electricity generation, use and storage. This commercial law course will examine electricity markets, electricity trade, electricity generation from renewable sources, and emissions from the particular perspective of electricity and tech companies. The course will focus on the North-Western Europe (NWE) region.

The course can be taken as part of the study module in Corporate Responsibility.

The course can be taken by students both from Helsinki and Vaasa.

The course changes name to Climate Change and Electricity Trade from 1.8.2020.
